The Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland is pleased to present the first of our 2022 Twilight Seminars with the Honourable Michael Kent QC and Principal of Barry. Nilsson Lawyers and Accredited Family Law Specialist, James Steel. 

Preparation of financial matters

The seminar will be directed at preparation of financial matters and will involve discussion and insights into the following:

1. What good preparation requires for presentation of financial matters before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (whether the matter is being heard in Division 1 or Division 2) and in an arbitration setting.
 
2. The recent changes to the case management system in each of the Courts (including the launch of the major complex financial proceedings list within Division 1) and what additional or alternate preparations and considerations are now required.
