FLPA Twilight Seminar/Webinar

Landing the new amendments in practice: considering the practical applications of the reforms coming to the Family Law Act (Cth)

Wednesday, 24 January 2024

The Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland is pleased to present the first of our 2024 Twilight Seminars with Senior Judicial Registrar Rice of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 1) and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2), Ms Karen Oakley of Counsel, Dean Evans (Solicitor and Accredited Family Law Specialist) and Sarah Dibley (Solicitor and Accredited Family Law Specialist).

There is a range of content in our area of the law about the new legislation.  This panel discussion seeks to go beyond what the new legislation says and focus more on what the amendments mean for practitioners at the coal face and for their clients.

The panel will discuss a number of aspects of the reforms landing in practice, from the start of a matter to drafting documents and through the Court process, what considerations are important and what shifts or changes practitioners might need to consider in their thinking and how they undertake work in family law post-reform.

This is an event not to be missed.
